Gets Rid Of Varicose Veins
“Enlarged, swollen, and tortuous (twisting) veins”
Above is the definition given to varicose veins by Medical News Today.
Doesn’t paint a pretty picture, does it?
And it doesn’t stop there:

“They are generally blue or dark purple. People with bulging and/or lumpy varicose veins on their legs may experience cramping pain and heavy limbs. Occasionally, in very severe cases, the varicose veins may rupture, or varicose ulcers may form on the skin.”

It’s no wonder people with varicose veins are prone to covering up and hiding their skin away.

These unsightly veins can even drive someone to surgery or costly laser treatments. Especially when left untreated, varicose veins can lead to serious cases as stated above and require medical attention.

However, these are only rare cases, and the bulging veins usually only cause discomfort and self-consciousness. That doesn’t make them any less appealing though.

As always, there’s a little known home remedy you can use to rid your skin of varicose veins.
This Russian folk remedy requires just one, low-cost ingredient (and no doctors or surgical treatment).

Tomatoes

This red fruit has proved effective to ridding the body of blue, swollen veins.

Similar to aspirin, tomatoes can thin the blood and improve circulation. Unlike aspirin, however, this comes as a natural compound in tomatoes.

Increasing your blood circulation helps clear the veins out and reduce the signs of varicose veins. It’s the perfect result to be able to bust out the shorts this summer season!

Tomatoes are also great at strengthening the walls of blood vessels. This is because of a specific flavonoid found in tomatoes that allow blood vessels to work stronger and prevent blood pools.

Tomato Treatment For Varicose Veins

Begin your treatment with ripe green tomatoes.

Slice the green tomato into ¼ inch thick slices and apply them to the areas of your body where varicose veins are most visible.

Use plastic wrap to hold the slices in place. By now, you should feel a slight tingling sensation; this means the tomato is working!

If the tingling becomes too intense, simply remove the slice of tomato and wash the area clean. It doesn’t take long for the healing qualities of tomato to work through your skin.

If you’re having trouble finding a green tomato, you could alternatively use a red one. It’s been noted that red tomatoes don’t work quite as quickly though, so be sure to leave on the slices for at least 3-4 hours to gain the same results.

Continue this treatment until you reach the desired effect. There’s no such thing as too much tomato treatment in this case!
