The most nutritious food on the planet are the eggs. One egg contains:

  • Selenium
  • Phosphorus

Cholesterol and Eggs

The presence of cholesterol is the only reason why we have always seen eggs as unhealthy. An egg has 212 mg of cholesterol which is actually over 50% of your daily recommended amount. However, you should know that higher cholesterol in the blood is not linked with cholesterol in your diet.

When we consume eggs, our livers produce less cholesterol (which produces cholesterol every day). The latest study has shown that 70% of the people who consume eggs have no effects on their cholesterol levels.

Eggs actually increase HDL-good cholesterol and reduce stroke and heart issues.

Antioxidants and Eggs

These products are rich in 2 critical antioxidants – Zeaxanthin and lutein. These amazing compounds significantly reduce the risk of macular degeneration and cataracts. The consumption of 1.2 egg yolks on a daily basis increases blood levels of Zeacanthin by 140% and Lutein by 50%.

Weight Loss and Eggs

Eggs are ideal in the fight against excess weight. The consumption of eggs limits overall calorie intake by as much as 400 cal on a daily basis. The study which included two groups of people, the one consumed bagels for breakfast and the other one consumed 2 eggs. The egg group had significantly greater weight loss, by more than 65%, 16 % reduction in the body and 34% reduction in the waist. Eggs simply satisfy your hunger quickly.
