Get Rid of Stretch Marks Naturally
Need a quick fix for pesky stretch marks? Whether you have recently added another member to the family or your body is prone to stretch marks with weight changes, there are plenty of natural remedies that can help your skin repair.

Stretch marks after pregnancy, weight loss or weight gain can leave unwanted lines or scars on the skin. Between 75 to 90 percent of women are affected by stretch marks following pregnancy, and sometimes the scars don’t even appear until two weeks after the delivery. When the skin becomes stretched during pregnancy and weight change, it may be difficult to avoid pushing it to the limits.

Stretch marks provide a perplexing cosmetic puzzle to fix, since they don’t actually occur on the top layer of the skin. These scars are actually places in the middle layer or connective tissues of the skin (dermis) that has been stretched to growth beyond its flexibility. By receiving the proper nutrients and keeping the skin hydrated, stretch marks are much easier to avoid.

Get rid of the scars with natural stretch mark remedies:

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has some amazing health benefits from healthy eating to hydrated skin. To avoid stretch marks altogether, you have to keep the skin flexible and hydrated during weight changes. Coconut oil is a natural way to provide moisture back to the skin. Increase the flexibility and elasticity of skin with coconut oil in place of Shea or cocoa butter.

Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera has many naturally healing properties for skin health and burn treatment. It also makes a fantastic natural remedy to get rid of stretch marks. Take a fresh Aloe Vera leaf or gel, and rub it into the scarred area of the skin. After 15 minutes of application, rinse it with warm water to finish.

Another way to do this is to take ¼ a cup of Aloe Vera gel and mix in your essential skin vitamins (10 vitamin E capsules and five vitamin A capsules) to properly repair the skin. Rub the mixture into the skin and give it a good 10 minutes to be absorbed. Repeat this process daily for optimized results.

Castor Oil
Castor oil is a common remedy for skin damage such as dark spots and wrinkles that come with age. It may also be an effective natural remedy for stretch mark removal. Use Castor oil by applying it to the scarred area in a circular motion for five to 10 minutes. Wrap the area with a cloth and apply heat for another half hour minimum. Repeat the process each day for a month to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

Sugar
Who knew sugar was a natural skin exfoliant? You can also use raw sugar as a natural remedy for stretch marks. Mix together just one tablespoon of raw sugar (they even come in small packets) with a few drops of almond oil and lemon juice. Apply the mixture to the scarred area of the skin and rub for a few minutes before you shower each day. Keep the raw sugar regimen up for at least a month for optimal results.

Potato Juice
The nutrients in a potato may actually save your skin the stretch marks. Potato juice is a common natural remedy that helps get rid of stretch marks because it contains both essential vitamins and minerals your skin needs to stay healthy. Slice up a potato and rub directly on the scar to cover the entire area. When finished, allow the nutrients to absorb into the skin until dry. Rinse at the end with warm water.

Lemons
A lemon is a naturally acidic fruit that’s great for all types of skin health fixes. It can be used for blemishes and provides a natural remedy to remove stretch marks. Take a fresh lemon and rub each slice into the scar tissue. Allow the lemon juice to be absorbed for at least 10 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

Egg Whites
Egg whites work wonders for the skin and hair, since they are so rich in essential amino acids and proteins. Eggs will bring elasticity and health back to the skin, and provide the nutrients to reduce the appearance of stretch marks naturally. Separate the egg whites and whip them together with a fork. Rinse the skin with water and apply the eggs until they have completely dried. Wash the eggs from the skin with cold water and apply olive oil to lock in the moisture. Repeat this process every day for two weeks for optimal results.

Drink More Water
If you are naturally prone to stretch marks, consider drinking more water. Fancy artisan waters may be more expensive, but they actually make up for this cost by providing you essential minerals that other waters completely lack. Waters rich in silica provide an elasticity that improves the flexibility of the skin. It’s important to drink at least two liters per day.
