The era that we live in is the era of technology in which we are dependent of computers and internet and they take part in our everyday life. Many people are working on computers and are obligated to sit in front of them for hours every day. This is serious treat for the health of many people in America since about 50% or 70 % of the population is obligated to do this.
Sitting too long has many negative effects it causes heart diseases, damages the spine, contributes to development of different types of cancer, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol and it can even slow down the blood circulation and lead to obesity.
According to the latest researches about 80% of the American use Internet each day for hours. They also revealed that 90% of the families have at least one computer at home. But the most interesting thing about the research is the fact that the number of internet users is increasing for 10 millions every year. The problem about this is that this is the reason why 40% of the patients suffer from back problems. Health specialists say that sitting improperly in front of the computer is the main reason for back pain.

Even the youngest are not left out by this, watching cartoons on TV and playing video game on computers for long period at the age of five affects negatively on the physical development.
Specialists warn that working long hours on computer increases the risk for some serious damages that affect the spine, joints and neck. The bad thing is that patients are dealing with this by taking painkillers all the time and in that way reduce pain that is hard to treat.
Doctors say that children under the age of 12 should sit in front of the computer or TV for maximum of 2 hours a day. Whenever you are feeling muscle pain don’t hesitate take some exercise or go for a walk and it will help you a lot.
